Quest is an industry recognised and approved quality scheme which recommends best practice. It is supported by Sport England, based on the European Foundation for Quality Model (EFQM). Quest is a rigorous external and independent bi-annual audit of systems and processes covering Facility Operations, Customer Relations, Staffing and Service Development and Review. These sections are also broken down into further management strands.
Sporta is a membership association that represents cultural and leisure trusts and social enterprises at a national level to government and key organisations. Our Chief Executive, Mark Crutchley is currently the South West Region Chair.
The West of England Sport Trust (Wesport) works as both an Independent Registered Charity through the Wesport Core Team, as well as a network of organisations in the West of England, with a vision to collectively increase, promote, support and celebrate lifelong participation in sport and physical activity helping to realise potential for all.
The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) is the trade body which represents every established organization in the health and fitness industry. The FIA acts a bridge between the Government and organisations with the ability to help deliver its public health strategy.
The Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) is a programme supporting the fitness industry to become more inclusive, catering for the needs of disabled and non-disabled people and raising physical activity participation levels. The programme is built around developments in access, fitness equipment, staff training, marketing strategies and sports development, ensuring that fitness is accessible for all.
Sport England fund organisations and projects in order to grow and sustain participation in grassroots sport and create opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport. Sport England work in partnership with UK Sport and the Youth Sport Trust and is accountable to Parliament through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
