Hat trick of Accreditations for Local Leisure Trust

Circadian Trust, which runs Active Leisure Centres, has been awarded with the two internationally-recognised management and health & safety certificate accreditations, swiftly following an environmental accreditation awarded just a few months ago, making a hat trick of achievements for the not-for-profit organisation.

 

The two most recent awards, ISO9001 (Quality Management systems) and ISO18001 (Occupational Health & Safety), recognise the dedication the Trust and its staff give to improving customer experience and following best practice at all of its centres, benefiting both the residents of South Gloucestershire and the staff that work at Circadian.

 

The acclaimed standards are extremely rigorous and challenging to achieve, developed by leading trade and international standards bodies. The two accreditations cover everything from risk assessment and response to an emergency situation, right through to motivation of top management to ensure continuous improvement.

 

As part of the accreditation process the Trust has implemented a number of improvements to its systems, including introducing remote wireless access to the Building Management Systems meaning staff can monitor energy consumption in real time from PCs, tablets and smart phones, enabling constant improvements to be made instantaneously. Important health and safety checks can also be done remotely in this way, and information can also be shared immediately between different leisure centres, making the entire organisation more efficient.

 

Active power management is the first of its kind in the UK to be installed in a leisure centre, and is a series of unique power transmitters and totally wireless. It runs from a web browser application, so technicians and maintenance managers can log on and see the Active power management displays in friendly easy readable screens, making their jobs easier and more flexible, as well as more efficient.
